Some insurance companies today, in an effort to be more efficient, use a third party administrator to handle their glass claims. Some companies will ask you to call a toll free number to complete your claim. What is often not explained to you as an insured is that these billing networks are most often owned and operated by large national glass companies. Most of these networks do not identify themselves as such when an insured calls in, and may lead you to believe that you are speaking to a representative of your insurance provider. Some will even use "tactics" to convince you to use one of their company owned service centers for your glass replacement as it is obviously in their best interest to do so. given to them by their insurance company, they were transferred from person

These statements are not true!! You should know that by law, you as a consumer have the right to use the auto glass replacement company of your choice. You do not have to be subjected to these "scare tactics" while simply attempting to schedule a glass replacement. Please be an informed consumer and choose a glass service provider based upon reputation and quality service and never be coerced into using a company not of your preference.
